High Security Prisons
High Security Prison, Mianwali
The High Security Prison, Mianwali was commissioned in 2024. The facility is designed to provide enhanced security and specialized custodial arrangements for high-risk prisoners.
High Security Prison, Sahiwal
The High Security Prison, Sahiwal was commissioned in 2015. It provides secure custody and enhanced security arrangements for prisoners requiring high-security accommodation.

Central Jails are major correctional facilities across Punjab, providing secure custody and correctional services for prisoners.
Central Jail, Bahawalpur
This jail was commissioned in 1955 and area of Jail is 81 acre 07 kanal 02 marlas, area of lines 04 kanal, area of Jail colony 15 acre, 06 kanal, 07 marlas and area of agriculture 43. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 1334 prisoners.
Central Jail, Dera Ghazi Khan
It was commissioned in 1913 with extension in 1986 and area of Jail is 42 acre 04 kanal 19 marlas, area of lines 08 kanal, 04 marlas, area of Jail colony 78 kanal, 18 marlas and area of agriculture 03 acre, 18 marlas. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 710 prisoners.
Central Jail, Faisalabad
This jail was commissioned in 1971 and area of Jail is 125 acres 04 kanal 05 marlas. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 1206 prisoners.
Central Jail, Gujranwala
It was commissioned in 1883 and area of Jail is 40 acres 07 kanal 05 marlas. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 1425 prisoners.
Central Jail, Lahore
It was commissioned in 1965 and area of Jail is 62 acres 04 kanal. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 1406 prisoners.
Central Jail, Mianwali
The jail was commissioned in 1904 and area of Jail is 172 acre under cultivation 53 acre, area of Jail colony 26 acre, area of high security 37 acre and high security colony 09 acre. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 1050 prisoners.
Central Jail, Multan
The jail was commissioned in 1930 and area of Jail is 115 acre, area of lines 02 acre, area of Jail colony 30 acre and area of agriculture 23 acre. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 1536 prisoners.
Central Jail, Rawalpindi
The jail was commissioned in 1986 and area of Jail is 75 acres. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 2056 prisoners.
Central Jail, Sahiwal
The jail was commissioned in 1873 and area of Jail is 70 acres. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 1565 prisoners.
