Sports and Recreation

Sports and recreation like luddo, carrom board and playing cards are provided to the prisoners. All the National days and religious occasions are celebrated in the Jail with great fervor and festivity and the prisoners participate in these occasions. Strong emphasis is laid on the physical exercise of all the prisoners.

Rehabilitation Center

Proper program for rehabilitation of addicts, junveniles and female prisoners is functional  under the supervision of the appointed Medical Officer. Services of NGOs and Psychiatrists are also utilized for betterment of the prisoners.

Medicals Services

There is a proper hospital in jail with all the basic diagnostic facilities, a full time Medical Officer and paramedical staff. All the prisoners are screened for Hepatitis B&C, HIV AIDS and TB and treated accordingly. Ample amount of medicines are available in Jail Hospital.

Education

All the prisoners are encouraged to continue their formal and informal education and qualified teachers are appointed to teach the prisoners. The services of NGOs are also hired to educate the prisoners. The facility of library is also available with good collection of books on various  subjects.
