District Jail, Toba Tek Singh

District Jail Toba Tek Singh was commissioned in 2007 and area of Jail is 67 acre 04 kanal 16 marlas, area of lines 02 acre, area of building 25 acre, 04 kanal, area of Jail colony 29 acre, 04 kanal, 16 marlas and area of agriculture 10 acre, 04 kanal. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 500 prisoners whereas 898 prisoners are confined here.

Facilities

Sports & Recreation

Following facilities are provided to the prisoners:

Luddo
Carrom board
Television sets are available in all barracks
Toys are provided to children with their mothers in female ward

Rehabilitation Center

A Rehabilitation Center is functional for addicts’ prisoners. Medical Officer looks after the addicts regularly.

Medical Services

All sick prisoners are treated immediately and properly. Serious prisoners are kept admitted in hospital. Other medical facilities like T.B Control Program, Ultrasound, Dental chair, E.C.G.

Education

Both formal and religious education programs are offered and qualified teachers are appointed to teach the prisoners.
