| District Jail Rahim Yar Khan was commissioned in 1950 and area of Jail is 24 acre 06 kanal 10 marlas, area of lines 03 acre, 02 kanal, area of Jail colony 05 acre, 03 kanal, 09 marlas. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 316 prisoners whereas 815 prisoners are confined here. |

Rehabilitation Center |
| A rehabilitation centre is functional at the Jail where new admitted addicted prisoners are being treated in the supervision of Medical Officer of Jail and the record of their treatment is safely kept. |
Medical Services |
| The sick prisoners are treated in best away. The District and Sessions Judge Rahim Yar Khan visits twice in a month by the order of Lahore High Court Lahore and physically check the Medical facilities being provided to inmates of this Jail. |
Education |
| Both formal and religious education programs are offered and qualified teachers are appointed to teach the prisoners. |
