| District Jail, Bahawalnagar was commissioned in 1947 and area of Jail is 36 acre 02 kanal 02 marlas, area of lines and Jail colony 11 acre, 03 marlas and area of agriculture 14 acre. The authorized accommodation of the Jail is 347 prisoners whereas 505 prisoners are confined here. |

TVs are installed in all the barracks for the inmates of Jail with the help of NGOs. |
Rehabilitation Center |
| Daily physical exercise (PT Drill) of drug addicts is ensured. Medical Checkup of drug addicts is conducted on daily basis. The religious teacher delivered the lecture to all the inmates of Jail to become a good and healthy person for the society on daily basis. |
Medical Services |
| All the basic medical facilities are provided to prisoners like ECG Machine, Ultra Sound Machine, Dental room and TB DOTS Lab, and also provide free medicines and treatment to the prisoners. |
Education |
| Both formal and religious education programs are offered and qualified teachers are appointed to teach the prisoners. A library is also established in Jail for the inmates. |
