Central Jail, Bahawalpur

Central Jail, Bahawalpur was commissioned in 1955 and area of Jail is 81 acre 07 kanal 02 marlas, area of lines 04 kanal, area of Jail colony 15 acre, 06 kanal, 07 marlas and area of agriculture 43. The authorized accommodation of the jail is 1334 prisoners whereas 1912 prisoners are confined here.

Rehabilitation Center

The addicted prisoners are treated in the Rehabilitation Center under the supervision of the appointed Medical Officer.

  
       
 

Medical Services

The prisoners who need medical care are treated in this Jail. The District and Session Judge of Bahawalpur visit the Jail twice a month to monitor the Medical facilities being provided to the inmates of this Jail.

  
       
 

Education

Religious education and formal education are given to the prisoners. Two Religious Teachers are deputed with the cooperation of Taleem-ul-Quran to teach the prisoners. A permanent religious teacher is also appointed at thes jail to educate the prisoners.
