A prestigious rank-pinning ceremony was held at the Home Department Punjab in honor of the newly appointed Inspector General Prisons Punjab, Mian Salik Jalal.
Secretary Home Punjab Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi formally conferred the official rank upon IG Prisons Salik Jalal. Along with the Secretary Home, Special Secretaries Zainab Khan and Faisal Fareed also participated in the ceremony and placed the official ranks on the newly appointed IG Prisons.
After receiving the rank, Mian Salik Jalal formally assumed charge as Inspector General Prisons Punjab.
Secretary Home Punjab Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi congratulated the new IG Prisons and expressed his best wishes for his successful tenure.

- He highlighted that the Prison Staff Training College is being developed into an institution of international standards.
- He directed that the self-respect and dignity of prisoners must never be compromised and that prison discipline rules should be strictly implemented.
- He stated that no leniency should be shown towards individuals who bring disrepute to the department, while those demonstrating excellent performance should be encouraged and appreciated.
