Pro-Active Disclosure

A public body shall pro-actively disclose the following information to the citizens of Pakistan:

 

  • Particulars of the public body, its functions and duties

          Punjab Prisons function under provisions of THE PRISONS ACT 1894 & THE PRISONERS ACT 1900

  • Powers and functions of its officers and employees

          Powers and functions assigned under provisions of various sections of PRISONS ACT 1894

  • Norms and criteria set by the public body for the discharge of its functions

          Punjab Prisons as vital part of Criminal Justice System (Custody, Care, Control and Correction)

          Statistics           

  • A description of its decision-making processes and any opportunities for the public to provide input into or be consulted about decisions

          Punjab Prisons is an executing agency which implements the policies issued by the Government of the Punjab from time to time. Decision making takes place at the level of provincial cabinet and the Punjab Assembly and not at the level of executing agency. 

  • A directory of its officers and employees with their respective remuneration, perks and privileges

         All officers and officials of the Punjab Prisons have been receiving their monthly salaries in accordance with pay scales and allowances notified by Government of the Punjab from time to time.

  • Budget of the public body including details of all proposed and actual expenditures
