MoU with Qarshi Foundation Trust, Lahore

The Qarshi Foundation Trust, Lahore and the Punjab Prisons have been working together for the welfare of prisoners since 2001. Keeping in view the success and achievements of this cooperation, the parties agreed to enter into a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to ensure sustainability to the services rendered for the welfare of prisoners. The MoU envisages welfare activities through donation of Eastern Medicines, human resource, release of prisoners confined in lieu of financial penalties (Diyat, Daman and Arsh) by arranging payments, and provision of basic amenities in the jail of Punjab. 

The MoU between the Punjab Prisons and Qarshi Foundation Trust, Lahore has been signed on 07.04.2022 by Mr. Adeel Saeed Meer, Chief Executive Officer of Qarshi Foundation Trust and Mirza Shahid Saleem Baid, Inspector General of Prisons Punjab, Lahore. Mr. Muhammad Yasir Ali, Manager Qarshi Foundation and Malik Mubashar Ahmed Khan, DIG Prisons (Headquarters) signed the MoU as witnesses on behalf of the two parties.
