Punjab Prisons Foundation Continues Welfare of Staff & Families

In its ongoing commitment to employee welfare, the Punjab Prisons Foundation continues to provide financial assistance to both serving and retired personnel of the Punjab Prisons Department, along with their families.

Inspector General of Prisons Punjab, Mian Farooq Nazir, distributed cheques amounting to Rs. 3.708 million among various serving and retired employees as part of the Foundation’s welfare initiatives.

In a recent ceremony, the Foundation also distributed scholarship cheques totaling Rs. 120 million to 117 employees, supporting the educational needs of their children. DIG Headquarters Mian Salik Jalal and Director of the Punjab Prisons Foundation, Muhammad Kashif Rana, were present during the distribution.

Previously, the Punjab Prisons Foundation had distributed Rs. 120 million among 1,132 retired and serving employees. These funds were allocated for marriage grants, death grants, and educational scholarships for employees’ children.

Looking ahead, the Foundation is set to review and process grant cases for an additional 119 employees during its upcoming meeting.

IG Prisons Punjab, Mian Farooq Nazir, stated:
